SumTech® PFPE-420 is a perfluorinated polyether (PFPE) based lubricating grease created for use in severe operating conditions caused by high temperature or aggressive chemical environments. This long-life lubricant has excellent rust inhibiting, corrosion protection and solvent washout resistant properties. It is totally inert and can be used in the presence of liquid or gaseous oxygen. SumTech® PFPE-420 meets USDA 1998 (H1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact).

RECOMMENDED USES

SumTech® PFPE-420 is ideal for use in bearings, conveyors and pumps subject to aggressive chemicals or heat. It recommended for drying ovens, shrink wrap tunnels, oven chains and other high temperature applications found in food manufacturing. SumTech® PFPE-420 is compatible with all types of polymers, plastomers and elastomers.

Summit CO-120FG Extreme

Summit CO-120FG Extreme is a synthetic high-temperature food grade chain oil built to excel in extreme conditions. White solid lubricants are used in place of graphite solutions, which helps to improve food safety and avoid the contamination that comes with black particles. CO-120FG Extreme is used to lubricate chains operating at temperatures up to 1,202 °F. It also offers good wetting properties and excellent penetration with high dispersion stability.

RECOMMENDED USES

CO-120FG Extreme chain oil can be used for the lubrication of transport chains operating in the food processing industry at very high temperatures, e.g. plate carrier chains in baking ovens, commonly found in bread, tortilla and pizza production lines.

Summit SBL Food Grade Series

Summit SBL Food Grade Series synthetic lubricants are formulated to provide maximum lubrication protection and service for all positive displacement blowers including Roots, Gardner-Denver, Sutorbilt and Duroflow. Summit EnviroTech® FGPL is a biobased food grade penetrating lubricant formulated for use in the food processing industry. This biodegradable formulation is odorless and tasteless. It is fast acting and rapidly penetrates corrosion or carbon residue on equipment.

Summit R Series synthetic hydrocarbon refrigeration lubricants are designed to function under severe service conditions. These fluids have a very high viscosity index, contain no paraffin and are compatible with various
fluorinated refrigerants, ammonia, methyl chloride and carbon dioxide. The Summit R Series is completely miscible with petroleum-based fluids.

Syngear FG PG Series

Summit Syngear® Food Grade PG Series synthetic oils are polyglycol-based products for use in enclosed gear, bearings, and compressors where conditions demand the unique properties of these fluids. Use these lubricants where there is the potential for incidental contact with food or food packaging. Better wear protection, thermal and oxidation stability and reduced sludge and deposit formation insure enhanced performance when compared with petroleum-based lubricants. These lubricants are NSF registered and meet USDA (H1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact) for use in food plants. Summit is an ISO 21469 certified facility. So not add directly to food.

RECOMMENDED USES

The Syngear® Food Grade PG Series are built specifically for use in enclosed gear, bearings, and compressors in situations where there is the potential for incidental contact with food or food packaging. These lubricants are incompatible with petroleum oils. Care should be taken to prevent the two types of fluids from being mixed.

This bio-synthetic formulation of High Oleic Base Stocks is engineered to meet or exceed the performance requirements of most vane, piston and gear-type pump and system manufacturers, while satisfying the rigorous criteria for biodegradability and toxicity. It offers superior anti-wear and film strength characteristics necessary for hydraulic systems operating under high load and high pressure. EnviroTech® EAL H-46 Extreme has a zinc-free additive system and is inhibited for excellent protection against rust and corrosion. In addition to its excellent performance capability, EnviroTech® EAL H-46 Extreme hydraulic oil satisfies the requirements for ultimate biodegradability and non-toxicity making it an excellent choice for hydraulic and circulation systems operating in environmentally sensitive areas. Base oils and additives in this product pass and exceed the acute toxicity (LC-50) criteria adopted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. EPA.

RECOMMENDED USES

EnviroTech® EAL H-46 Extreme hydraulic oil meets the definition of a bio-based lubricant as outlined in section 9001 of The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act (FSRIA) of 2002 (Public Law 107-171/ HR 2642) and qualifies for preferred procurement by U.S. Federal Agencies as set forth in FSRIA section 9002.

EnviroTech® EAL H-46 Extreme complies with the “biodegradable”, “minimally-toxic” and “not bioaccumulative” standards as defined in Appendix A of the 2013 Vessel General Permit issued by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

EnviroTech CO FG Series

EnviroTech® CO FG Series chain lubricants are a specially developed, food grade chain lubricants blended from bio-based oils and fortified with synthetic food grade white graphite. This unique high temperature formula lubricates at operating temperatures exceeding 1000ºC and meets U.S.D.A. 1998 (H1) guidelines for applications where incidental food contact is possible.

It does not contain VOCs and will out-perform other lubricants containing molybdenum disulfide, black graphite, or Teflon®. In addition, EnviroTech CO FG contains a natural self-cleaning property which cleans the buildup on chains attributable to the use of inferior chain lubricants. This superior chain lubricant provides excellent protection against wear, rust, oxidation, and corrosion.

RECOMMENDED USES

Use EnviroTech® CO FG Series for chains exposed to high service temperatures which exceed those recommended for conventional lubricants. This product is ideal for oven chains used in plants which produce bread, cookies, cakes and other baked food products. It is also suitable for can making where decorative coatings are being cured or applied. EnviroTech® CO FG can also be used in non-food grade high temperature applications.
